The FDM CO₂ system allows you to adjust the concentration from ambient values (approximately 400 ppm) up to 100% by volume. Various configurations are available: CO200_0200 (0.2%-20% per EN 12390-12), CO200_0010 (up to 1% per EN 12390-10), CO200_0005 (from 0.5%), CO200_1000 (up to 100%). Regulation is continuous via a high-precision PID proportional valve.
The system uses a high-precision IR probe (±0.1% @ 5% CO₂) with a calibration certificate, connected to a PID controller that regulates a proportional valve. The controller (revoFACE or stillFACE) displays the real-time value in ppm, manages configurable alarms, and allows data logging. The internal fan ensures uniform distribution of CO₂ throughout the volume.
The basic system only increases CO₂ levels. Two options are available to reduce them: CO200_00EX (extraction pump that returns to ambient level) and CO200_N2 (nitrogen injection system to reduce below ambient level). The optional SA100 promotes controlled air exchange.
Yes, using the optional IGC00 (Inert Gas Connection), you can connect the chamber to an existing inert gas line in the laboratory (e.g., centralized N₂ or CO₂), avoiding the use of dedicated cylinders. The inlet pressure must be reduced to 0.5-1 bar.
RO filter: ideal if you have a water mains connection and drainage, provides continuously purified water (maintenance: cartridges every 12 months, membrane every 2 years). 16L tank: perfect if you don't have a sewer drain, manual refill with demineralized water, maintenance-free. Both guarantee 10-98% RHcontrol.
Yes, FDM chambers with CO₂ system are designed to comply with EN 12390-10 (concrete exposure to CO₂), EN 12390-12 (accelerated carbonation), EN 13295 (mortar carbonation), ISO 1920-12, ISO 6270-2 and EN ISO 12572. The climate and CO₂ range meets the requirements of these standards.
You will need: a CO₂ cylinder of at least 10 kg, a pressure regulator to reduce the output to 0.5-1 bar, and a connection to the cylinder. The system does not require an air supply. CO₂ consumption depends on the test conditions and cannot be predicted in advance.
CB Series: Temperature range -25°C to +60°C, ideal for tests with extreme cold/heat cycles. CS Series: Temperature range 0°C to +60°C, ideal for applications without the need for sub-zero temperatures. Both can be extended up to +80°C with the GDS_ASU accessory and support the same CO₂ control.
