CB-CS SERIES · CLIMATE CONTROL
Laboratory climatic chambers, also called climate chambers or environmental test chambers, for temperature and humidity testing in R&D, quality control, electronics, materials, automotive, and food. They operate from -25°C to +70°C and regulate humidity from 10 to 98% RH between +10 and +70°C. We have a dedicated chamber for ICH Q1A/Q1B stability tests , with photostability lighting. Designed and manufactured by FDM, an Italian manufacturer of climatic chambers since 1949.

OVERVIEW
The CB-CS series FDM climate chambers enable accelerated aging, environmental simulation, and stability testing with simultaneous temperature and relative humidity control. The operating range from −25°C to +70°C, with a fluctuation of ±0.1–0.5 K and uniformity of ±0.5–2.5 K, and adjustable humidity from 10 to 98% RH (+10 to +70°C) ensure compliance with ICH Q1A, GMP, GLP, and DIN 12880 regulations.
Even air distribution is ensured by forced ventilation on four sides, while Pt100 sensors with redundant monitoring ensure operational continuity even in the event of a failure. The double door (internal glass + insulated external door) prevents condensation and heat loss during sample inspection.
Available in volumes from 130 to 1830 liters (models from 140 to 2300), FDM laboratory climate chambers are certified to international standards with IQ/OQ documentation available.

FDM climate chambers can be used to perform various types of tests. The main ones are those for material climatic stress, as well as those for plant or insect germination. There are also more extreme tests such as HAST tests or battery tests.
Production times for a climate chamber can vary from model to model. However, delivery can vary between 6 and 8 weeks. This timeframe is subject to other factors and may be shorter, for example, if the machine is already in stock.
Climatic chambers are not standard equipment: the price depends on the configuration—useful volume, temperature range, humidity control, required certifications, and customizations. In the 2026 guide to prices and cost factors, you'll find the ranges for the most common configurations. Or, describe the test you need to perform: you'll receive an estimate based on your configuration.
We offer free remote support for the entire warranty period. Thanks to direct connection with our engineers, we provide real-time diagnosis and rapid problem resolution, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operation.
Absolutely. Unlike standardized products, FDM offers customized solutions designed to perfectly meet the specific needs of laboratories, industries, and research centers. Thanks to our manufacturing flexibility and technical expertise, we develop climate chambers with customized configurations to ensure optimal results in every type of test.
The CB-CS series climatic chamber operates from -25°C to +70°C with simultaneous temperature and humidity control, ideal for ICH Q1A stability testing and standard climate simulation. The environmental chamber offers extreme ranges from -70°C to +180°C for accelerated testing, rapid thermal cycling, and stress testing in industries such as automotive and aerospace. Both are manufactured entirely in Italy by FDM.
The FDM CB-CS series climate chambers comply with ICH Q1A (pharmaceutical stability), GMP, GLP, DIN 12880, IEC 60068 and ISO 17025. IQ/OQ documentation is available upon request for validations in regulated environments.
Standard FDM climate chambers range from 130 to 1830 liters (models 140 to 2300), plus a 25-liter benchtop model. The choice depends on the size and quantity of the samples to be tested. For small electronic components, the C140 or C370 models are sufficient, while for packaging or testing multiple samples simultaneously, we recommend models from C700 to C2300. Our technical team can help you identify the ideal volume.
The revoFACE controller is a color touchscreen for programming automated thermal cycles with customizable ramps, soaks, and transitions. The stillFACE controller is designed for long-term stability testing under constant conditions. Both support USB data logging, configurable alarms, and remote monitoring.
FDM Environment Makers has been an Italian manufacturer of climate chambers since 1949. We design and build each chamber in our factory in Pomezia (Rome). We are not resellers: each chamber is designed, assembled, and tested directly by us with over 100 quality control tests.
