On March 28, 2026, FDM Environment Makers officially inaugurated its new headquarters in Pomezia, marking a significant milestone in the company's history. Not just a relocation, but a new chapter for a company that has been manufacturing climate chambers and environmental testing equipment for over seventy years.

The story of FDM began in 1949, when Giuseppe Della Marca and his brother founded a small artisanal business specializing in the construction of custom refrigerated counters and display cases. This business was born from their woodworking skills, a direct relationship with their customers, and a simple philosophy: building well, with your own hands.
In the 1990s, the company underwent a period of significant evolution. Marco Della Marca, along with his brother Fabio, took over and gradually expanded its scope: from maintenance to the design of increasingly complex products, such as ultra-high-pressure freezers and the first climatic chambers. It was during this phase that FDM began to become what it is today: an Italian manufacturer of environmental testing equipment.
Today, FDM is led by the third generation: Sara, Matteo, Gianluca, and Francesco Della Marca, who have been with the company for over ten years. Four siblings who continue the journey begun by their grandfather with the same spirit—building something that lasts—but with new tools, skills, and ambitions.
The new headquarters represents a significant leap in space and organization. The heart of the facility is a large production hall with resin flooring, high ceilings, and modern lighting: an environment designed to optimize every stage of FDM climate chamber production.

Inside the plant, the chambers take shape from sheet metal to final testing, with equipped workstations and spaces designed to manage multiple orders simultaneously, including the custom projects that represent a significant portion of FDM's business.
The completely renovated offices include operational areas, meeting chambers, and technical workstations equipped with digital tools for design and client support. Each space has been designed to foster internal collaboration and communication with clients throughout every phase of the project.
The opening day was attended by collaborators, suppliers, friends, and family. It was a moment of genuine sharing, reflecting the spirit of FDM: a family-run company that grows without losing its identity.

The symbolic moment of the day was the ribbon cutting: a golden ribbon, framed by blue and white balloons with the FDM logo, cut by the Della Marca —three generations present, from the founders to the youngest.
During the event, guests were able to tour the production department and observe the climatic chambers being assembled up close. It was a chance to experience firsthand the build quality and attention to detail that characterize every FDM product.
In their inaugural speech, the family recalled the company's roots and the contributions of those who made this achievement possible: "This headquarters doesn't just tell the story of where we've come from. It tells the story of where we want to start again."

For FDM customers, the new facility translates into tangible benefits. The expanded production space allows for the management of a greater number of projects simultaneously, resulting in better workflow organization and more predictable delivery times.
In particular, the new plant configuration allows for greater flexibility in addressing special projects and customized solutions: climatic chambers with non-standard dimensions, temperature ranges, or configurations, designed around the customer's specific needs.
Whether it's a standard climate chamber, a walk-in system, or a completely custom solution, the new Pomezia headquarters is where every project takes shape.
